Daktarin Sugar Free Oral Gel 15g is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth and throat, commonly known as oral thrush.

Oral thrush is caused by an overgrowth of Candida yeast and can lead to white patches, redness, soreness and discomfort in the mouth. Daktarin contains miconazole, an antifungal medicine that works directly at the site of infection to clear the fungus and relieve symptoms.

The gel format allows it to coat the affected areas for targeted treatment and soothing relief. Being sugar-free, it is suitable for those who wish to avoid sugar in oral care products.

It is commonly used for:

• Denture-related mouth infections

How It Works

Daktarin Oral Gel contains miconazole, which works by damaging the cell membranes of fungi, causing them to die.

The gel adheres to the lining of the mouth, allowing prolonged contact with the infected areas for effective treatment.

Directions for Use

For oral use only.

Use four times daily after meals.

Adults and children over 2 years:
Apply 2.5ml (half a 5ml spoonful) four times a day.

Infants 4 months to 2 years:
Apply 1.25ml (quarter of a 5ml spoonful) four times a day.

• Apply the gel directly to the affected area using a clean finger.
• Keep the gel in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing.
• Continue treatment for at least 7 days after symptoms disappear.

Do not apply to the back of the throat in infants due to risk of choking.
